MCm: Minimo Comune multiplo - multiplication processes
The contest lines up with the cultural project of the artist Andrea Mastrovito for the 2024/2025 edition of Marca Corona per l’Arte.
In the large work created by Andrea Mastrovito, drawings by the artist and frottage effects created under his guidance by Marca Corona employees form the paper tiles of a large mosaic that reproduces an historic photograph of the company.
This unprecedented work is accompanied by some of Mastrovito’s works created between 2009 and 2024, exemplifying the different working methods that are most recurrent in his work, but all traceable to the concept of multiplication, a transformation process that can also be found in ceramic production.

Marca Corona has cyclically established collaborations with artists who, with their style and creativity, have also initiated new stylistic periods of the company’s production.
To this day Marca Corona aims to be a promoter of new languages and new artistic influences, embracing the combination of craftsmanship, brand and contemporary art.
The dialogue with young artists is developed in the wake of this tradition with the aim of promoting and enhancing the search for new talents. Through the contest, they will be able to produce and exhibit unprecedented and original works as a result of their interpretation of the various topics proposed. The works, made by the Company under the direction of the Artist, will be placed in the company’s spaces and, over the years, these works will expand the stylistic and creative process that Marca Corona has developed in its almost 300 years of history.
